Monthly Limit (Budget)
Each organization has a monthly spending limit (budget). This is the maximum amount you can spend on API usage within a calendar month. Once your spending reaches the budget limit, API requests will be blocked until:- The next billing period begins (1st of the following month), or
- You increase the limit in the Dashboard
Your monthly spending (
period_spent) resets to zero on the 1st of each month automatically.Why change your limit?
- Cost protection — prevent unexpected charges from runaway scripts or misconfigured integrations
- Team budget control — keep spending within your organization’s allocated budget
- Scaling up — increase the limit as your usage grows
Default limits by tier
Each usage tier comes with a default monthly budget limit:| Tier | Monthly Budget Limit |
